Dreamforce is not only for learning and networking, it’s also for celebrating and having fun with other Trailblazers at the world’s largest software conference.
Dreamforce is celebrating its 21th anniversary this year, and there is no doubt it will live up to its hype. And, of course, a big part of Dreamforce is Dreamfest.
If you are in San Francisco for Dreamforce 2024, you must attend Dreamfest. It’s a concert experience like no other!
In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know to prepare for Dreamfest 2024.
What Is Dreamfest?
Dreamfest is an epic live concert that is headlined by legendary artists and closes out the week of Dreamforce. It is the biggest, most anticipated Dreamforce party where Trailblazers are provided free food and drinks and can vibe to world-class music and legendary artists.
Who Is Playing Dreamfest 2024?
Dreamforce has again booked a world-class name for Dreamfest 2024, as the Foo Fighters will be headlining Dreamfest again. All proceeds benefit the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
Who Has Previously Played Dreamfest?
Dreamforce never disappoints with the artists and bands headlining Dreamfest. Previously Dreamfest has been headlined by some of the world’s greatest artists including:
- 2022 – The Red Hot Chili Peppers: The iconic band set the stage ablaze with the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ vibrant performance. Their electrifying fusion of rock and funk injected the event with boundless energy, mirroring the dynamism of technological dialogues.
- 2021 – The Foo Fighters: Dreamforce brought back the Foo Fighters for an unprecedented performance. The band’s electric show provided a dynamic contrast to the tech discussions, infusing the event with fervor and energy.
- 2020 – Virtual Harmony Event: When the world faced the challenge of a pandemic, Dreamforce innovatively pivoted to a virtual concert experience. While no single act headlined this event, it highlighted the resilience of technology and music, underscoring their ability to unite despite physical distances.
- 2019 – Fleetwood Mac: This one transported attendees through time with the enchanting sounds of Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks’ ethereal vocals and the band’s classic hits celebrated the conference’s blend of innovation and tradition.
- 2018 – Metallica: In 2018, Dreamforce marked a historic moment with the return of Metallica, the legendary rock band that left attendees awestruck with their thunderous performance. Their presence epitomized the spirit of pushing boundaries and embracing the extraordinary.

When and Where Is Dreamfest 2024?
Dreamforce is hosted at Oracle Park, the home of the San Francisco Giants, on Wednesday, September 13th.
Note: Shuttle services will not be provided from Moscone Centre to Oracle Park by Salesforce. You will have to rely on yourself to get to the venue via public transportation, ride-sharing apps, or taxis. The official Salesforce Event app will help you navigate to the concert.
Additional Concerts at Dreamforce 2024
There are always popup concerts at Dreamforce, apart from Dreamfest. You can expect surprise parties from famous artists. These concerts happen around San Francisco and are announced in the days leading up to Dreamforce.
For example, in 2017 I caught a pop-up Beck concert with less than 500 people in the audience!
While no artists have been announced yet, we will keep an eye out for those as they are announced.
Another party to watch is the Enchanted Dreamforce Party which will have a live DJ and exclusive VIP experiences. This concert will be hosted at the Temple Nightclub, as will the CodeScan Homecoming Party.

FAQs
Is Dreamfest free?
You don’t have to pay any extra for Dreamfest. General admission entry for Dreamfest is included with your Dreamforce registration. However, there is an option for upgrading the pass for VIP experiences via the UCSF benefit at theconcertforkids.org.
How do you enter Dreamfest?
Your conference badges are your passes to the concert. Re-entry is forbidden. Don’t forget to carry your IDs if you wish to celebrate with alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
What is security like at Dreamfest?
There will be a proper security check on the entrance so make sure you aren’t carrying anything objectionable, that’ll trigger the metal detectors. Bags larger than 14”x14”x6” will not be permitted — and there is no bag storage at Oracle Park. It is best to return to your hotels to drop off any items you don’t want to carry. You can also check bags at the Moscone West coat and bag check before heading to the show. Moscone West coat check will be open until 11:00 p.m., so you can grab your bag after the show.
