Airtable can serve as a relational database, a CRM, a content management backend, or a project management platform; Salesforce offers such a dense stack of capabilities and integrations that it might be overkill if you simply want a read-write CRM; Google Sheets can be used to edit spreadsheets, visualize data in graphs, charts, or heatmaps, send email campaigns, generate QR codes,  or it can double as a backend database.

There’s always a (or, several) simpler and a more complicated alternative to any software product you’re considering. As a result, if you prioritize the volume of features a product offers over how well (and simply) it solves your problem, you’ll end up with hundreds of licenses for an enterprise tier solution whereas a free alternative could have done the job just fine.
