Visionary. Mentor. Builder.

It is with profound sorrow that we mourn the sudden passing of our beloved Co-founder and CEO, Khadim Batti.

Born and raised in Mumbai, with family roots in Gujarat, Khadim studied electrical engineering in Mumbai and information technology in Bengaluru before embarking on a journey that would lead him to build a global company and impact beyond metrics.

Khadim co-founded Whatfix with Vara Kumar in 2014 with a simple but powerful belief: technology should empower people, not stand in their way. That belief became the foundation of Whatfix and the purpose that continues to guide us.

Khadim was an entrepreneur with an engineer’s mind, extraordinary curiosity, and an unwavering conviction in everything he pursued. He challenged people to think bigger, move with courage, and believe in possibilities that others might not yet see.

But Khadim’s greatest impact was always about people. He built Whatfix with deep customer empathy, a genuine belief in talent, and an extraordinary commitment to developing people. He was known for his warmth, humility, and generosity. A visionary and deeply driven leader, he was remarkably grounded and approachable with a calm presence that made people feel at ease, heard, and trusted.

Khadim Batti with fellow Whatfix Co-founder Vara Kumar.

Khadim was a dreamer and a learner. He generously shared his time, learnings, and experience mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs beyond just technology, driven by the belief that knowledge and opportunities multiply when shared.

Less known was his commitment to philanthropy. He remained closely connected to his roots, supporting schools and healthcare initiatives in his hometown to expand access and opportunity for others.

Khadim’s legacy reaches far beyond Whatfix. It lives in the people he inspired, the culture he shaped, the communities he supported, and the many lives he touched.

Through Whatfix, he brought together people united by ambition, curiosity, trust, and a belief in building something meaningful with empathy. He built a strong organization and a deeply committed leadership team, creating an enduring foundation for the company’s future.

Today, we grieve an immeasurable loss, but we draw strength from his remarkable legacy.

The foundation is strong. The values are deeply rooted. And the people he empowered remain committed to building with the same courage, curiosity, and conviction that defined him.

Khadim leaves behind more than a company. He leaves behind people who believed because he believed in them.

In Khadim’s words:

“Scale with the right fundamentals.”

A principle he lived by, and a legacy that will endure.
